Additional Support Now Available to Businesses
New and existing businesses across the region can now access additional financial support through the South East Wales Local Investment Fund. The fund offers businesses a flexible grant, designed to encourage development and growth by offsetting the costs of investment.
Small and medium size businesses can access financial assistance normally from £1,000 to £5,000, now based on (up to) 40% of eligible project costs, which may include:
- Capital equipment
- ICT equipment
- Development of websites
- Marketing materials
- External and internal building works and alterations
The support is aimed primarily at the manufacturing sector, but enterprises that attract tourism or operate primarily business-to-business may also be considered.
Delivered by the six South East Wales local authorities of Rhondda Cynon Taf, Blaenau Gwent, Bridgend, Caerphilly, Merthyr Tydfil and Torfaen, the Local Investment Fund is delivered with support from the Welsh Assembly Government through the European Regional Development Fund, under the Convergence programme.
