Join Rhondda Cynon Taf Business Club and the University of Glamorgan for the Launch of GlamBlog

The event will begin at 8am and end at 10am, with breakfast, networking and Social Media speakers from Silicon Edge.

The University of Glamorgan, GTi (the business incubator) and RCT Business Club are collaborating in a new venture, sponsored by JISC, to encourage regional companies to start to explore new software tools and resources.

The initiative will promote the use of Web 2.0 or social networking resources for businesses to network and access business information resources. Recent research shows that individuals may be using Twitter, LinkdIn, Facebook and so on, for their personal/social and family networks but that even ‘early adopters’ are not really using these for business networking.

Silicon Edge will be exploring:

• Social media – What is it?
• How can Social Media be used for business
• The advantages and disadvantages of using it in business
• Best and worst case examples of it's use
