WS Marketing is pleased to announce that the "South Wales Business Awards 2009" is once again being held in October. After such a successful event in 2008, WS Marketing is very much looking forward to celebrating with the best of South Wales Businesses, their success over the last year. The awards are being held on the 14th October 2009 @ The Bear Hotel in Cowbridge. The categories for entry are:

1. Young entrepreneur of the year (Sponsored by Glamorgan University)

2. Best new start-up

3. Business services business of the year (Sponsored by the Vale Business Club)

4. Retail & Tourism business of the year

5. Technological & Innovative business of the year (Sponsored by Silicon Edge)

6. Eco business of the year

7. Contribution to business (Honorary award)

8. South Wales business of the year 2009 (Draw from winners of each category) (Sponsored by Cardiff Life)

The closing date for applications is the 7th August 2009 The shortlist for nominees will be announced on the 10th August 2009 An independent judging panel will then convene, to decide upon the winners! I urge everybody who is keen to apply to do so as soon as possible. Last year we had a number of applications that missed the deadline by a few days. The prizes for the awards includes:

1. Each nominee will receive a certificate of the evening and nominees status.

2. Each category winner will receive a commemorative bottle of wine & certificate of the evening and nominees status.

3. The winner of each category will also receive one pay as you go marketing package from WS Marketing.

4. The South Wales Business of the year will receive £1,000 of WS Marketing support and a half page advertising space in Cardiff Life magazine.

Please note, a business can nominate its self. Last year, a few people were unsure if they could do so on their own behalf and unfortunately missed out. Cardiff Life will be providing the media coverage of the event.
